Some people look at an area and see an opportunity for life while others look at the same area and see an opportunity for profit. Filming the urban transformation of Sunset Park, Brooklyn, NY took eight years covering both sides of a very complex issue. If the film is “about” something, Sterrenberg noted, it is about showing up, and participating in the democratic process. Emergent City will be in theatrical soon and on POV later this summer.
